A memorial service was held for Shelly Kay Higginbotham Wilkerson May 28, 201 at Pruitt Baptist Church, 9908 St. Hwy 110, Van.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born Oct. 15, 1969, in Athens and passed away at the age of 46 May 21, 2016, in Dallas.  She had been a resident of Lindale for three years, formerly living in Steamboat Springs, Colo., Houston and Grand Saline. 

Mrs. Wilkerson worked as a petroleum landman since 2007, previously working in commercial construction as an administrative manager. 

She loved arts and crafts. 

She loved spending time with her children and granddaughter, Aubrey.  She was able to meet and spend time with the newest addition, her granddaughter, Gracyn Kay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Ray Higginbotham and Martha Jean Brown; grandparents, Benford Griffith, Chester Ray Higginbotham and Mary Ruth Higginbotham; and her sister, Toni Rae Higginbotham.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Anthony Wilkerson of Lindale; six children, Terry Ray Harris of Lindale, Sierra Wilkerson of The Colony, Abby Campbell and her husband Brian of Lindale, Michael Wilkerson of Lindale, Caston Wilkerson of Lindale and Kristin Littlejohn of Houston; two granddaughters, Aubrey Rae and Gracyn Kay Campbell of Lindale; parents-in-law, Ron and Dianna Wilkerson of Lindale; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lacy and John Idrogo of Tyler and Jamie and April Wilkerson of Aubrey; nieces and nephews, Kate Idrogo, J.J. Idrogo, Olivia Wilkerson, Kiley Wilkerson and Brinley Wilkerson; grandmother, Doris Griffith of Van; uncle, Mike Higginbotham of Grand Saline; aunt, Teresa Higginbotham of Grand Saline; and great-aunts, Marilyn Hoover, Margaret Gray and Mary Jones.
