Randy Nix
1945-2017
Randy Nix (Freddy Randal (Deckelman) Cory), 71, passed away March 13, 2017, at his home in Guymon, Okla.
Visitation and memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Eubanks Funeral home in Canton.
Mr. Nix was laid to rest at Cana Cemetery in Canton.
He was born April 5, 1945, in Littlefield, but grew up and went to school in Canton where he graduated high school in the class 1964. He joined the Marine Corps in December 1965. His bravery during the Vietnam War earned him several medals. He was a marksman and ran many search and rescue missions, saving and helping anyone he could. He was an honorable serviceman and served his country with pride for four years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Finas Ray Cory and Opal Deckelman.
He is survived by his stepmother, Mary Alice Cory of Lewisville; sisters, Donna Rawdon of Grapevine, Judy Neefe of Albuquerque, N.M., Debbie Johnson and her husband, Carl Johnson of Carrolton, Denise Robinson of Wiley; many nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
