Services for Mrs. Louise Williams, 71, of Lindale, were held Friday, April 7, 2017, at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale with Rev. Tom Buck and Bro. Byron Howard officiating. Interment followed in Edom Cemetery in Edom. She died Monday, April 3, 2017, in Tyler.
She was born in Oct. 27, 1945, in Ben Wheeler to the late Edgar Lawrence and Aulcie Ballard Miller.
She was formerly of Van before moving to Lindale in 1999. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lindale and the Lindale Garden Club. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, quilting and most of all spending time with her family. She worked as a teacher’s aide for Van ISD, as a clerk for the Smith County and Van Zandt County JP Courts, and for the Municipal Court for the City of Lindale for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Larry Williams, Dec. 2, 2012; brothers, Don and Ervin Miller; and mother, Aulcie Miller.
She is survived by her daughters, Monica Moore and husband, Steven of Lindale and Michelle Roden and husband, Nathan of Lindale; sisters, Geneva Shelton of Van and Lorene Miller of Chandler; grandchildren, Jami Moore, Kaci Moore, Aaron Roden and Allison Roden; and several nieces and nephews.
