James Donald Nash

Funeral services for James Donald Nash, 82, of Rockwall, were held Tuesday, May 2, 2017, under the direction of Max Slayton Funeral Home.
Mr. Nash passed away April 25, 2017.
He was born Dec. 18, 1934, in Rockwall to William and Myrtle Edna Foster Nash, both of whom preceded him in death along with his brother, Max Nash, and sister, Laquita Cookston.
He had talent for always being on the go. He loved people and people loved him. He had an easy-going personality that enabled immediate friendships in everyone he met.
He loved to tell stories, sit and visit with family, friends and co-workers. His kindness and generosity were hallmarks of his outstanding personal character.
He retired from Texas Instruments with over 30 years of loyal service. Never one to stay idle, he opened J and M Custom Caps, a successful business that helped him make even more friends with his wonderful and positive attitude. He enjoyed his lottery tickets and loved to wind down by driving on country roads enjoying the rural and peaceful countryside. A gentle spirit with the world’s biggest heart to help others, he will be truly missed.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Margo Nash of Terrell; children, Kevin Nash of Dallas, Karen Cox and husband, Johnny, of Balch Springs, Cathy Carver of Alabama, Scott Nash and wife, Beverly, of Houston; grandchildren, Michael Hufford, Bryan Hufford, Marc Hufford, R.J. Prisk, Tess Carver, and Shelbie Brown; great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Zacary, Nathan, Alexis, Abby, Braden, Chris, Lilly, R.J., Jr., Sanaa and Omari; sister, Wanda Castle; and many other extended family and a host of friends.
