Ruth Garfield
1924-2017
A graveside service for Ruth Garfield, 92, Van, was held Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Meadows officiating under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Garfield passed away May 5, 2017, in Lago Vista.
She was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Van Zandt Co. to the late John F. Malone and Vada McKnight Malone. She grew up in Van and graduated from Van High School. She retired from Levi Strauss in Wichita Falls after 32 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Midget Malone Camper, Maureen Malone Decker, Avadale Malone Stoddard, Iva Malone Pruett and Fern Malone Dickey.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Arlene Garfield of Gladewater and David and Teresa Garfield of Lago Vista; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
