
Funeral services for Pearlie Mae “Pearl” Blagburn, 104, of Clarksville, formerly of Edgewood, were held Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Curtis Blagburn officiating. Interment followed at Elmo Cemetery in Elmo.
She passed away Thursday morning, May 24, 2018, in Clarksville. She was born May 12, 1914, in Elmo, the daughter of John Wilburn Pursell and Anna Muzela Gilleland Pursell.
She was raised in Elmo and on July 26, 1930, she married J.D. Blagburn. She was formerly employed as a seamstress for Malouf Manufacturing Company in Wills Point, retiring in 1964.
She was a workaholic and enjoyed yard work and visiting her family and friends. She lived in Edgewood prior to moving to Clarksville several years ago. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Edgewood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Muzie Pursell; husband, J.D. Blagburn; six brothers and sisters and a daughter, Edith Blagburn Brooks Shrode.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Blagburn and wife, Betty, of Cooper; four grandchildren, Elaine Yniguez and husband, Wayne, Steve Brooks and wife, Carla, Curtis Blagburn and wife, Cindy, Debbie Williams and husband, Todd; seven great-grandchildren, Brett, Brian, Corey, Kelly, Clayton, Carrigan and Chandler; three great-great grandchildren, Forrest, Cypress and Baker; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Todd Williams, Curtis Blagburn, Steve Brooks, Brian Yniguez, Brett Yniguez and Wayne Yniguez.
